We've decided to have a little bit of fun and build 2 totally unique portable straw bale sleep out/ studios that can be transported to pretty much any location in the central North Island.
* Both of them have NO straight walls. So they're organic, soft, curved and well.... pretty sexy!
* One is like a 'cocoon' of sorts. A place to: listen to music to, use as an artistic retreat, spend long afternoons just relaxing in. It's totally wired, and totally transportable. A curved, insulated straw bale caravan. We call it - Paua.
* The other uses an upside down boat for it's ceiling/ roof, has recycled joinery, and is a little bigger than the first one. It too has the amazing insulation properties of plastered straw bale (warm in winter, cool in summer) as well as the unique soft curved style. We call it Mai Mai.
If you love something different. Want something in your garden, yard or holiday property that your friends see, and just say 'WOW' ....'Where did you get that?' then these are for you! Or imagine a group of these studios as a unique accommodation venue!
So - get out your cheque books :-) because these will sell to someone who knows that you can't put a price on unique style.... and comfort.
